    USACE, K-water renew Memorandum of Understanding to continue exchanges between the two agencies

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and K-water signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in an event at K-water’s Research Institute in Daejeon, South Korea, on April 16, 2025. The new agreement, signed almost ten years to the day from its predecessor, will allow for collaborative activities in the area of water resource management.

Over 200 potential contractors attended the event.

    USACE Far East District marks Engineers Week with 13th Annual STEAM Event in South Korea

    USAG HUMPHREYS, South Korea – In celebration of Engineers Week, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) – Far East District (FED) continued its long-standing commitment to fostering interest in engineering careers by hosting a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) event at Humphreys High School. The speaking series marks the 13th consecutive year of outreach efforts at local schools by the district. It brought together professionals from various engineering disciplines to engage with students and showcase real-world applications of engineering.

    USAG HUMPHREYS, South Korea – The Republic of Korea-U.S. Alliance Friendship Association presented a Korean name, Woo, Jae-hee, to Col. Jeremiah J. Willis, commander, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Far East District, during a ceremony in Seoul, South Korea, on Dec. 13, 2024. He also earned an honorary Taekwondo black belt during the event.
