    FED nears completion of Fuel Project OS031

    USAG HUMPHREYS, Republic of Korea—The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Far East District (FED) continues construction on OS031 Fuel Oil Facility, the second phase of a three-part construction project, located on USAG Humphreys.

    The hangar will house the RC-12 and RC-7 aircraft. The mission of the 3rd MI Battalion is to provide timely combat information and intelligence to the tactical and operational warfighters, through responsive airborne collection, processing, analysis, and reporting.

    The Far East District engineer team passed a major milestone in the construction of project AV051 CY16 ROKFC In-Kind, A05R507, 3rd Military Intelligence Aircraft Maintenance Hangar Complex, by successfully completing a High Expansion Foam Dump test in the largest U.S. Army hangar overseas at USAG Humphreys, Pyeongtaek, Republic of Korea, Jun. 3. The District is well on their way to a building turnover to the 3rd Military Intelligence Battalion, based at USAG Humphreys.

    The Safety and Health Requirement Manual, EM 386-1-1, is now available in an app powered by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and the Far East District (FED) is taking full advantage of it.
  • An Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month observance was held at Far East District (FED) headquarters, May 20. The theme for this year’s AAPI Heritage Month is “Advancing Leaders Through Purpose-Driven Service.” The South Pacific Warriors dance team and Eighth Army Rock Band gave performances, and the Humphreys High School JROTC presented the colors.
