Col. Greg Baisch was promoted to his present rank by Lt. Gen. John D. Johnson, 8th Army commander (left) and his wife Mrs. Laurie Baisch (right). The eagle rank insignias they are pinning on him had been worn by his father during his Air Force career. Far East District commander Col. Donald E. Degidio, Jr., also presented Baisch with the de Fleury medal, an award of the US Army Engineer Association, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the engineering regiment.
