A U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Far East District cornerstone marks a new housing tower, Camp Humphreys, South Korea, Sept. 13, 2024. The three towers opened achieved Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system. This third-party certification provides a framework for sustainability and verifies that the project meets specific environmental standards from design and construction through to operation.
